അഹമ്മദാബാദ് തുണിമിൽ സമരം [Ahmedabad Textile Mill Strike]

1918 ൽ അഹമ്മദാബാദിലെ മില്ലുടമകളും തൊഴിലാളികളും തമ്മിലുള്ള തർക്കത്തിൽ ഗാന്ധിജി ഇടപെട്ടു . 35 ശതമാനം വേതനവർധനവ് ആവശ്യപ്പെടാൻ ഗാന്ധിജി നിർദേശിച്ചു. തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ സമരത്തെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്താൻ മരണം വരെയുള്ള നിരാഹാരസമരം അദ്ദേഹം ആരംഭിച്ചു . ഇത് മില്ലുടമകളെ സമ്മർദത്തിലാക്കുകയും നാലാം ദിവസം തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് 35 ശതമാനം വേതന വർധനവ് നൽകാൻ സമ്മതിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു . In 1918, Gandhiji intervened in a dispute between mill owners and workers in Ahmedabad, Gujarath. Gandhiji proposed a 35 per cent pay hike. He started a hunger strike till death to strengthen the workers' struggle. This put pressure on the mill owners and agreed to give the workers a 35 per cent pay rise on the fourth day.
