ഖേഡാ സത്യഗ്രഹം [Kheda Satyagraha]

1918 ൽ ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ഖേഡാ ജില്ലയിൽകൃഷി നശിച്ചു . എന്നാൽ ഭൂനികുതിയിൽ ഇളവ് നൽകാതെ മുഴുവൻ തുകയും അടയ്ക്കണമെന്ന് ഗവൺമെന്റ് നിർബന്ധിച്ചു . നികുതിയിളവ് നൽകുന്നതുവരെ നികുതി നൽകരുതെന്ന് ഗാന്ധിജി കർഷകരോട് നിർദേശിച്ചു . തുടർന്നുണ്ടായ സമരത്തിൽ നികുതി നൽകാൻ കഴിവുള്ള കർഷകരിൽനിന്നേ അത് വസൂലാക്കാവൂ എന്ന ഗവൺമെന്റ് ഉത്തര വിനെത്തുടർന്ന് സമരം പിൻവലിച്ചു . In 1918, agriculture was destroyed in Kheda district of Gujarat. But the government insisted on paying the full amount without giving a land tax deduction. Gandhiji advised the farmers not to pay tax till the tax relief is given. The strike was called off following a government order to collect taxes from farmers who were able to pay their taxes
