ചമ്പാരൻ സത്യഗ്രഹം [Champaran Satyagraha]

ബീഹാറിലെ ചമ്പാരനിലെ കർഷകരുടെ പ്രയാസങ്ങൾ പരിഹരിക്കാൻ ഗാന്ധിജിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ 1917 ൽ നടന്ന സമരമാണ് ചമ്പാരൻ സമരം . ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ കർഷകരോട് തൊട്ടമുടമകളായ ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാർ അവർ കൃഷിചെയ്യുന്ന ഭൂമിയുടെ കുറേഭാഗത്ത് നീലം കൃഷി ചെയ്യുവാനും ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാരായ തോട്ടമുടമകൾ നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്ന വിലയ്ക്ക് അവ വില്ക്കുവാനും നിർബന്ധിച്ചു . അതോടെ കർഷകർ വലിയ കടക്കെണിയിലകപ്പെട്ടു . ഇതറിഞ്ഞ ഗാന്ധിജി സമരത്തിൽ ഇടപെടുകയും സത്യഗ്രഹ സമരത്തി ലൂടെ കർഷകരുടെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പരിഹരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു . The Champaran Satyagraha was organized in 1917 under the leadership of Gandhiji to solve the problems of the farmers of Champaran in Bihar. The British, the landowners, forced the village farmers to cultivate indigo on most of the land they were cultivating and to sell it at a price set by the British landlords.
