Chauri Chaura Incident | ചൗരി ചൗരാ സംഭവം

1922 ഫെബ്രുവരി 5- ന് ഉത്തർ‌പ്രദേശിലെ ചൗരി ചൗരായിൽ വച്ച് നിസ്സഹകരണ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി നടന്ന ഒരു ജാഥയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത ആളുകൾക്കെതിരെ പൊലീസ് വെടിവെക്കുകയും തുടർന്ന് ജനക്കൂട്ടം പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ ആക്രമിച്ച് തീയിടുകയും ചെയ്ത സംഭവമാണ് ചൗരി ചൗരാ സംഭവം എന്ന പേരിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത് . ഈ സംഭവത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് സിവിലിയന്മാരും 22 പോലീസുകാരും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു . The Chauri Chaura incident took place on 5 February 1922 at Chauri Chaura in the modern Uttar Pradesh in British India, when a large group of protesters participating in the Non-cooperation movement, clashed with police who opened fire. In retaliation the demonstrators attacked and set fire to a police station killing all of its occupants. The incident led to the death of three civilians and 23 policemen
