THE MOTHER TREE
Today Akash sir performed another magic. He made fire in the class room with*abracadabra' mantra. Red, hot and burning.
Now the forest caught fire and our little birds in danger.
Passage
The fire grabbed the neem tree with it's red hot hands.
' Its so hot, I am burning. Ah! I can't bear it. '
The fire began to eat up the tree. The flames climbed up and up.
' Kee.. kee.. kee.. ' The birds in the nest cried aloud.
' Poor little birds. How can I save them? ' The tree thought.
' Oh fire, take me, leave the little ones! ' The neem tree begged to the fire.
' Sorry, I can't stop burning. ' The fire grew stronger and stronger.
Missing Letters

The first one is gra--ed. Missing letters are b and b. The word is grabbed.
Second one is bur--ng. Missing letters are n and i. The word is burning.
Third one is cli--ed. Missing letters are m and b. The word is climbed.
The last one is be--ed. Missing letters are g and g. The word is begged.
Find out all these words in your text book and underline them.
Thoughts of little sparrows
Fire is all around. The little sparrows are thinking about their mother.
Mother is not here.
We are in danger.
Who will help us?
The fire will eat us up.
Write the thoughts of little sparrows in your note book.
Nobody is there for help the poor birdies. Neem tree is helpless. What will happen to them? We will study it in our next class.
