Moonlight [നിലാവ് ]

The Moon get's it's light from the Sun. Moonlight is the reflection of the sunlight. 

This light is not hot like the sunlight. The reason for this is that the moon can't produce its own heat. The sun is a star that gives out heat and light of its own.

Star and Sun

Stars are heavy bodies that shine in the sky. It is situated very far away from the earth, so we don't experience their heat and light. The sun is a star.

Sun stays closer to earth. It looks large and we experience its heat and light.

സൂര്യൻ സ്വയം പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന ഒരു നക്ഷത്രമാണ്. അതിനാൽ തന്നെ സൂര്യൻ താപം പുറത്തുവിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ചന്ദ്രന് സ്വയം പ്രകാശിക്കാനുള്ള കഴിവില്ല, സൂര്യപ്രകാശം ചന്ദ്രൻ പ്രതിപഫലിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ചന്ദ്രനിൽ നിന്ന് ഭൂമിയിൽ എത്തുന്ന ഈ പ്രകാശമാണ് നിലാവ്. ചന്ദ്രൻ സ്വയം പ്രകാശിക്കാത്തതിനാൽ തന്നെ നിലാവിന് ചൂടില്ല.
നക്ഷത്രവും സൂര്യനും
സ്വയം ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന ആകാശ ഗോളങ്ങളാണ് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ. നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നും വളരെ അകലെയാണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. അതിനാൽ തന്നെ അവയുടെ ശരിയായ വലുപ്പവും അവയുടെ ചൂടും നമ്മുക്ക് ഏൽക്കുന്നില്ല.
സൂര്യൻ ഒരു നക്ഷത്രമാണ്. സൂര്യൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ അടുത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനാൽ സൂര്യൻ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്ന പ്രകാശവും ചൂടും നമ്മുക്ക് അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നു.
